how to fall in love

When you shift your focus
from what is absent
to what is present,
from what is missing
to what has been given,
from what you are not
to who you are,
from the ravages of linear time
to the immediacy of Now,
you are reconnecting
with love, truth and beauty,
and abundance is yours,
effortlessly.

For in truth,
nothing is lacking where you are,
nothing is missing from the present scene of the movie of your life,
and you are forever full,
and at the point of completion.

The only reason
you cannot find Oneness
is because you never left.

The day is just waiting to be lived.

So breathe in life, friend,
breathe in life.

Coming Out

I am gay.  I am straight.  I am lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, transgender.
I am a man, I am a woman, and everything in-between.
I am a Christian, a Jew, a Hindu, a Buddhist, a Muslim,
a Sikh, a humanist, a pagan, a Satanist.
I am an agnostic, an atheist, a nihilist, a dualist
and a non-dualist, a believer, a non-believer.

I am the space for laughter, tears, agony and ecstasy, the most ecstatic bliss
and the most profound heartbreak, despair and disillusionment.
I am the space for the wonderful dreams,
the terrible nightmares, memories, visions and the most creative
manifestations of light.
All thoughts, all stories, all concepts, all sensations, all possible
feelings, human and animal, vegetable and mineral,
pass through me, arise out of me,
and fall back into me.

I am Consciousness itself.  I am what you are.

I am coming out as Love.

still here...

My dear octogenarian father looks at me from across the restaurant table with those eyes, pregnant with a lifetime of reflections, and says, "Strange how it all ... turns out... so unexpected..."

"How do you mean, dad?"

"You go through life, doing this and that... you have children, they grow up... you work, you make money, you lose money, you retire... they take everything away from you... but... well... I'm still... we're still... here... aren't we, son... ?

Still here, dad.   Still here.

You are like a perfect poem

You are like a perfect poem
Imagined by a poet
Undivided from her own creation

Your form is word and sound
Your meaning is fluid and alive
But your essence is silence

You have no conclusion
Except the wonder of seeing the world
With brand new eyes
